There are 3
versions of the Neon obstruction light. The STI, the HI-STI and the
HI-STIM.
- The
low intensity
obstruction lights complies with ICAO recommendations Annex 14. Type A (STI) and type B
(HI-STI and
HI-STIM)
- Excellent luminous intensity with a vertical
beam much larger than ICAO and FAA requirements.
- Inherent generation of the aviation Red
due to discharge cold neon.
- very long life
time.
- Clear glass envelope.
- Perfect
watertightness.
- Protection against transient
overvotage.
- Circuitry to monitor the operation of the lamp
and, in event of failure, to trigger an alarm or light up an auxiliary lamp (if active
redundancy circuits are used).
- Easy to install and no servicing
required.
- The STI and HI-STI are one-piece moulded
assemblies which include a constant-power converter and proper discharge lamp of 13 turns(
HI-STI) or 5 turns (STI).
- The HI-STIM is built in two parts. The main part is a
completed moulded cylindrical assembly which includes a constant power converter. The second
part is the proper discharge lamp (13 turns) screwed on top of the
converter.
