The accessories: Tripod Stands, Elbow Tubes, Base Plates, Frangible Collars, 60 mm Tubes and Frangible Coupling allow ground fixing of all the elevated airfield lighting fittings. They will permit:

• Direc screwing on the accessory of the runway edge fitting and of the taxiway edge fittings     
• Mounting using  a frangible collar, of unidirectional elevated fitting (ground level mounting)
• Mounting using a frangible  coupling and a 60mm tube of unidirectional elevated fittings (mounting up to 2m).

In all these cases, the fitting support (fitting leg or coupling accessory) are screwed on the ground fixing accessory. The thread for the accessories is 2"and will be available in NPS or BSP version.

The tripod stand, frangible collars, 60mm tubes and frangible couplings are made of aluminium alloy casting, phosphated and painted in aviation yellow by electrostatic process (powdercoated). All fixings and fastenings are stainless steel. For the elbow tube, the support is protected cast iron. The tube part is PVD. the cable retention device is made of anodised aluminium. 

The base plate:

• Is compliant with FAA L867 Class I, AC/150-5345-42C standards
• Is designed to allow fixing  of elevated fitting supports on FAA L-867 type deep base (12"or 16" diameter)
• Has a 2"NPS thread
• Is made of steel protected by an oxide primer and aviation yellow enamel
• All fixings and fastenings are stainless steel
• The watertightness between the base and base plate is made using a neoprene circular flat gaskest supplied with the base plate
