The EL-AT
approach, threshold and runway-end elevated light is a unidirectional high intensity light
complying with ICAO recommendations in Annex 14, Volume I, paragraphs 5.3.4, 5.3.10, 5.3.11 and
5.3.19, FAA L862S, STNA, STANAG 3316, CAP 168 and BS 3224 part 4
standards.

The optical
system comprises of an aluminium reflector and a clear or coloured front glass; There are
no external filters.

The body and
support are made of aluminium alloy casting, powder coated and painted in aviation yellow
by an electrostatic process. All fixings and fastenings are stainless
steel

The design allows installation onto a safety
support with 44mm, 50mm or 60mm external
diameter

The power cable is protected as it runs through the support and
the total weight of the fitting (incl. lamp) is less than 2
kg.

The azimuth/site adjustment is done by using a setting
tool with level and sighting telescope and are locked by two sets of nuts and
screws
-
On site maintenance is quick and simple by lamp replacement is
possible by simply opening the rear door.
